Chicken acting strangely
Hello, I am terry and i'm a chicken enthusiast!
It all started a few years ago when me and my wife found a chicken wandering around the allotment. It didnt have a collar or any signs of being domesticated so we decided to make it one of the family, naming it 'Lionel'. Since then weve gone chicken mad! I have more poultry than sense these days! The reason I am writing to fellow chickeners is Lionel is acting strangely. He always stays in corners, doesnt eat his food, and always maintains eye contact with whoever is in the room to an extent thats quite offputting. My wife suggests his time is almost up and we should just "gobble him down". However ive seen the way she greedily leers at him, and think this has always been her plan. Has anyone seen these symptoms before? |

Re: Chicken acting strangely
Just an update.
I got home from the office yesterday to the devastating news of Lionels passing. No family death has affected me so much, and im very down at the moment. I have tried indulging in favorite past times but nothing can cheer me up. My wifes stew was just tasteless last night, that chicken was my world. I have also found myself resenting the other chickens, why couldnt 'he' take one of them instead? Last night, at around 2am, I even considered going down to the henhouse just to 'slay' a few, but i couldnt find the key (thankfully). Has anyone else been through this? |
