Chicken with comedy feet...

Hello.
New to this forum, just joined...and I need help.

I keep chickens I have 19. One of them a sussex has developed very swollen feet. they look knobly and are also patchy white. I say her feet are comedy feet because they must be 3 times the size they should be. I also think they must be sore as she has given up scratching and walks gingerly.
Has anyone any idea or seen this before?confused:

Re: Chicken with comedy feet...

could it be scaly leg mite?

if so you can easily purchase sprays for this from pet stores that stock chicken products or you can smear them in vaseline in order to suffocate the mites. . .

you would need to ensure there are no mites in their coop by cleaning this out thoroughly in all the cracks etc.

hope this helps :/
