Question Can domesticated poultry eat nuts

This is probably a stupid question but i am incubating ducks chicken and quail.
quail i have read need higher protein in there diet.
peanut are high in protein so i thought a couple of ground nut will balance out the protein they need. I cannot get pheasant food where i live.
just need to check i'm a newbie at this.

Re: Can domesticated poultry eat nuts

It's vital that you feed them the correct ration or they will develop all sorts of problems. Don't ever guess with protein, it needs to be exact especially when they are hatchlings.
Allen and Page specialize in feed rations and if they don't sell what you need will be able to give you expert advice on where to get what you need.
Call them on: Tel: +44 (0)1362 822900.

Flyte So Fancy also sell Quail supplies
Quail Feed Mix | Poultry Food | Quail Food | Chicken Supplies
Call them and ask what is best for quail chicks.

I can't stress the importance of getting it right when they hatch. Ducklings must also have non medicated feed and the protein content much change every few weeks.

Good luck! And don't go down the peanut route
