Quails and chickens

Can these two be kept together?

I would love t have 2 quails but would the chickens give them a hard time?

Re: Quails and chickens

You can keep them together, the chicks may object at first so keep the quail in a small pen in the middle of the chicken run for a couple of days before you mix them.
Quail will need to be wing clipped if you want them free, or you will have to provide a covered run.
Quail can eat chicken food, but for their long term health, they should be given a special quail food

Re: Quails and chickens

personaly i would recomend that you keep the quail in a rabbit hutch seperate from the hens just to be on the safe side, but make sure to line the roof of the hutch with sponge on the inside because when a quail gets scared its first reaction is to fly straight up!
