I'm not too sure, but possibly a little aggresive. If you approache her eggs then she's likely to protect them.

my grandads would peck at you when they had gone broody and wouldnt want you to take the eggs. unfortunatly the hens most of the time couldnt be left to sit on them - it may have been the wrong season, he may not want chicks or simply he may not have had a cockeral running with those hens so the eggs would have been infertile.

I disagree with the people tormenting that hen, but i do understand why broody hens eggs need collecting. Its a legacy we have bred into them, they lay eggs ALL the time, due to how we have bred them. Wild fowl only lay in the breeding season, hens lay all year round.
