Chick that doesn't want to go to bed!

We had 3 chicks hatch at easter, all marans 2 are slightly thinner than the othr with fluffy tops on their heads. Whilst all 3 will sit on top of the coop at times during the day one of them keps sitting on there at night and doesn't want to go in readily to the coop. It appears to want to roost in the trees. a) Does this mean it is a he? and will he grow out of it?

One of mine does that, but she is definately a she!!! I just scoup her up, give her a cuddle and snuggle her in with the rest, before locking down for the night. xx
