Dogs & Chicken Poo!!

Hi,

We have 4 chickens which free range in our garden. My problem is my puppy seems to like eating chicken poo. We do stop her when we can but its so small its in among the grass and shrubs so when she finds it she devours it.

Just not sure if it will be a major problem for her. Dogs seem to like eating all sorts of rubbish, but just not sure if the chicken poo could make her very ill. There has been no problem so far.

I posted this same question in the dog section and was advised to ask in Poultry too.

Thanks

xx

I'm not sure... But I do recommend taking your dog to the vet for a closer look and for a MORE helpful answers.
I think that poop (waste) of chickens or any other animal should be avoided as it may contain bad bacteria, germs or viruses and such things.
