Re: ducks can anyone help please
Hi
Im not sure what the black and white ones are but the brown one looks like a kharki campbell. The two males will be fine with the female, the better one of the males will get her, and the better male will sometimes just chase the other one away if he goes near the female. The boldness on the neck is normal its from the male treading, if you watch them the male grabs the male by the neck. mitch

hi mitch thank you as i said im new to thisand have read up quite alot could find out what type they were!! and it does seem to be more 1 of the males than the other i havent got them yet will have very soon id thought also that it could be down to amoult as well as her being hasseled. i was thinking it may be an idea to get another pair of females but being new i would like to get into the swing of things 1st and would like to see if things settle down with the naughty male 1st what do you think.

I would get some more females then they can pick and choose which one they want then with out the males fighting (dont worry they wont hurt each other). looking after ducks are not hard and its good fun. aslong as they are safe at night, got clean water and food they will be happy and very awarding with eggs .(im trying my best to find out what the males are and will let you know if i have any luck) mitch

Re: ducks can anyone help please
Is one drake black-white and one brown-white?
If so it looks like the brown-white drake is a black swedish x kharki campbell and could be the son of the black and white drake and kharki campbell female.... i could be wrong but looks that way. Is that the same as your black duck? if so they are black swedish drake ![]()

Re: ducks can anyone help please
No its not bad to have a cross, it just means its not a pure breed.
One thing tho is that most cross's wont sit on eggs to hatch out. 99% sure its a black swedish drake and 100% kharki campbell female... but not 100% on other drake. if you find out please let us know. If you need any advice just give me a pm. mitch

Re: ducks can anyone help please
ive just been having a look at some other pics on your suggestions and i think that you have cracked it ive been looking for ages well done think the girl most def it was a choice between 2 with her but the drakes well i had no idea the bill colour is the same as is the feet and they both have some green on thier heads. when my friend got them she was told that they thought they were all female but couldnt be sure but she asked me to take them on and ive wanted ducks since the age of 12 having had experiance ofa friend who has ducks and chickens that has totally swayed me. thanks so much i think i would have been lookin til the end of time. ta
