Hi everyone,
![]() I am an unexperienced person sitting here trying to learn how to provide basic care to hens.. ![]() My question is, what exactly am I suppose to feed my hens? They are ex-battery hens-who were used for laying eggs. I read somewhere that I must feed them the same diet as they were feed in the batteryfarms or else they will not eat and starve themselves as they would not recognise it as food..is this true? Secondly, I would like if some of them layed any eggs so again which particular food will be good? What do you feed your hens? Are any of below foods any good? Are they good price too? Is there any other store you recomend me to buy from?Johnston & Jeff chicken corn extra (including oyster shell grit) 5kg PRICE: £3.62, 20 kg PRICE: £12.48 Johnston & Jeff mixed poultry corn ,Quality mixed corn 5kg PRICE: £3.12, 20 kg PRICE: £ 11.38 Mr johnsons chick crumb 5kg PRICE: 5.49 Mr johnsons natural layers pellets, 5kg PRICE: £5.49, 20kg PRICE: £15.08 Mr johnsons premium mixed corn, 5kg PRICE: £5.49 Mr johnsons natural layers mash, 5kg PRICE: £5.49, 20 kg PRICE: £15.08 Just Natural layers pellets, 5kg PRICE: £5.49 Just Natural Pullet grower pellets,5kg PRICE: £5.49 Just Natural Natural chick crumb,5kg PRICE: £5.49 Johnston & jeff mixed poultry corn 60/40 20kg PRICE: £10.97 Thanks alot. ![]() |
