Help! need to introduce cock to hens
Hi, I need some advice if anyone can help me? I have an 11 week old cock that I need to introduce to 6 older hens, I have tried just letting him out in the garden with the others but the domanant hen and the cock just fight, I am scared they will hurt each other so have parted them again, and ideas how to do it without blood being shed???
The cock is in a run at the moment with 3 other hens which are also 11 weeks old, we got them at the same time and thought they were all hens, he is fine with them. |

Re: Help! need to introduce cock to hens
I would say let the cock run outside the older hens run so they can meet and "talk" with ther run stopping them from attacking each other when they seem to like each other let them both run around together but be ready to grab the cock and put him in his run so that you are graddually ibntroducing them.
