Re: putting duck eggs&chicken eggs in incubater at the same time?

Hi,the problem would be that the chicken eggs would hatch first ,at approx 21days (the ducks approx 28days),therefore this would seriously alter the humidity for the remainder of the time the duck eggs are in the inci.
Iv no experience of duck egg hatching, but do occaissionally hatch chicken eggs.
Hopefully others will also advise you, incase im wrong

Re: putting duck eggs&chicken eggs in incubater at the same time?

As said they require different hatching times but also different humidity. It is always best to hatch either or but having said that we have hatched both in one of our cabinet incubators with about 90% fertility.

Re: putting duck eggs&chicken eggs in incubater at the same time?

I have been told that the best way to do this is to put the duck eggs in a week before the chicken eggs, so that they hatch together
