Thumbs up USA: new stricter standards for organic-dairy pastures

Horizon Organic(R) Applauds The National Organic Program's New, Stricter Pasture Regulations

BTW:
i have been informed that * Horizon Organic * runs stockyard-style open-lot DAIRY operations in the 4-corners region -
a ** desert **. considering it takes approx 37 gallons of water to produce ONE gallon of salable milk,
a *desert* is not IMO an intelligent or sustainable location for a dairy.
The Cornucopia Institute

suggestion -
buy Horizon only if nothing else is available that is
* closer to U geographically
* more responsible + sustainable - Seven Stars, Stonyfield Farms, Organic Valley, etc.
