From one of the newsletters I get daily....(FYI)
Dear editor,
I put in an application at the local SPCA for the puppies that were in The Banner. Unfortunately, I did not get one, and the woman at the SPCA said that they had numerous applications. I am going to continue with my original plan, which is to apply to SOS Dog Rescue.
This organization rescues puppies from rural Quebec farms and places them in Ontario. They have a large number of puppies that need a home, and the SPCA has a large number of applications for puppies that were denied.
If you could bring these puppies to the members of your community by building awareness through The Banner, it would make many children happy this Christmas. The SOS website is
SOS DOG RESCUE.
Their process is very similar to the SPCA’s process — fill in an application and pay a fee. You can quickly access images of the adorable puppies through the SOS website on Petfinder. Many of them have urgent status.
I really hope you can find a way to bring together the families of Orangeville who did not get a puppy from the SPCA with the SOS puppies who need a home.
Cheryl R. Cowtan,
Alton
