Just found this news story and was horrified: BBC NEWS | England | Hampshire | Thieves escape with 81 canaries

Those poor little birds! I can just imagine they were terrified
And as for the owners, what a terrible thing to wake up to, i can't imagine what they must be going through.

I'm so glad my little fife canary is safe in the house with us....

My poor Grandad (who has sadly passed) had an aviary full of canaries when the stupid next door neighbour decided to spray his bushes (which were right by the aviary) with a really strong insect repellent. By the next morning every single one of his birds had died. He was devastated as he lived for his birds.

Most people do thing like this outta spite. They should all be either maimed or shot (people) or put through the same agony that they put the animals through.

I am hearing a lot of these types of storys with rabbits and ferrets too. I'm moving house next week and my rabbit has to go out side, I'm going to put a padlock on her wendy house even tho its a really nice area I just couldnt risk loosing her.
