Re: Lucky To Be Alive

its not the rottweilers allthough no doubt the breed will get blaimed again

its the owners fault they made mistakes obviously let the dogs get out or escape either way the owners should have been in control not only did they allow 2 dogs too get out they let 2 dog aggressive/human aggressive dogs out now how did these 2 dogs GET dog/human aggressive somewhere down the line someone dint socialise them and they DEVELOPED the aggression which wasn't corrected by their OWNERS so the dog knew no better...yet again stupid owners their is no such thing as it being the dogs fault somewhere down the line the human messed up through misunderstanding or stupidity

Exactly what I added at the end of the post I completely agree with you. People need to stop blaming the dogs and start thinking about the humans part of it, which is 99% of the problem!

This is something that really scares me when I will be out walking Poppy. Thinking of getting one of those old fashioned walking sticks incase the worst ever happened

it will probaly NEVER happen its very rare a dog attacks another dog or human for no reason if this was a common occurance it wouldn't make the news

Re: Lucky To Be Alive

This is terrible but now a lot of people reading this story will attach a stigma to this lovely breed of dog.

I was over at my sisters last night and this guy was walking his rotti past her house. She was just plodding by his side without a care in the world. We had a quick chat with him (and obv a fuss with her!) about how well behaved she was. He said you would not believe the amount of people that purposely cross over the road when they see you coming or pull there dogs 'out of harms way'. He quite rightly pointed out that most of the people round there are more likely to bite you than his dog is!!!

Its such a shame that these two dogs weren't given the love, attention and training they deserved earlier in life.

It's so true I couldn't agree more. There are so much sterotyping with dog breeds. These dogs are dangerous, but without the right love and care. They should be more careful who owns these dogs.
