Re: Dangerous DogsAct Breakthrough

I for one would like to see this ban lifted - it was Hideous to start with - why on earth it was never thrown out is beyond me.

However, I do think there should be measures regarding ownership of certain breeds, along with stricter breeding legistration - i'e have to have a special licence t breed - the reason I say this is because often these dogs do attract the wrong sort of shall we say 'masters' and at the end of the day it is the owner not the dog - and you wouldn't issue a firearms certificate to some of these yobs would you now.

regards
DT

With BSL repealed we will have more resources to tackle issues however we must not imho make anything specific to any set breeds. The problem with that is irresponsible owners will just work around it or carry on regardless. We need to focus on irresponsible owners of ANY breed or cross. whoever where ever.

I am completely for this and hope it gets dropped. I grew up with a fear of pitts as a kid, till I finally met some when I was out in the states and discovered what wonderful dogs they are. Heck, I would love to own one because of their fantastic temperament with people and loving personality.
