Being involved in the Animal-Rights movement for about 9 years now, I have gained a lot of insight and knowledge about animal rights and welfare. My newsgroup (The link in my sig below) have accomplished a great deal in the way of fighting animal abusers and killers. Sadly, this way of life is common all over the world. Children are not brought up to respect life, their own pets or other's pets or strays. These children later in life take out their agggression and anger on people, in the ways we all know about. The only recourses are to teach chilren to respect All life, and due punishment for those who don't. I would rather see these 'animals', put away for life in prison, with no parole, and also a "boyfreind" [sic]. Better yet would be a sentence of death, but there are too many bleeding heart Liberals out there who would rather see these "poor" crimimals 'rehabilitated. I also belong to several other newsgroups - AAFList (Against Animal Fighting), PACAS (People Against Companion Animal Slaughter) , fighting the food and fur trade in Korea and the rest of Aisia. My solution? Nuke the whole country, problem solved. The Humane Society of the United States, ASPCA, Defenders of Wildlife, and prob a few more I don't know about.
Over the years, my newsgroups have gotten Brother Ellis and BESNA kicked off the Internet, stopped the practice of road side drop-off bins for unwanted animals in Rutherford County Tennessee, thru a huge Media campaign. The results were also shown on National TV, on ABC's 20/20. Another incident, which we blitzed the News Media, was the case in California where a case of road rage turned ugly when the killer took a woman's dog from her car and thru it out onto the highway, killing the animal. He received the maximum sentence for that type of crime.
My newsgroup is kind of dead in the water right now, very few posters', mostly a Bulletin Board now. It needs a little excitement to boost up the animal-rights movement.
No, I'm not using this Forum to attract new members, but anyone concerned with animal rights is welome to join Pet-Rights, AAFList, PACAS, etc.
Remember, just one person is not likely to make a difference, but a whole group can. Cherish what pets you have now with all your Heart, and don't stop thinking about the unfortunate ones. Thank you,
Steve
P.S. As noted B4, I have also joined SHAC, with mostly hoping to use my Computer Consultant/Hacking skills, to make a difference. I tried to join the Animal Liberation Front once, in a way, and received a visit from the FBI.
So I'm not playing games here. Have a good day, and give your pets a hug from me.
S.M.
