It is a great story and I think that Dogs are being used more and more for things like this to help people through trauma or difficult situations.

A few months ago I saw on local news a dog being taken into an Infant school to help children to read. The children had the confidence to read out loud to the dog as it could not judge them and hence this improved their reading ability. Great stuff but of course, most of us on this forum will not be surprised at these tales'
