Exclamation Battersea: 'fighting dog' mauls Himalayan cat on doorstep

Terrified girls witness 'fighting' dog maul pet cat outside Battersea home (From Your Local Guardian)

the cat survived, but with 5 broken ribs, a broken leg, & many punctures and tears.
the 2 young girls were terrified, & the man who owned the dog PUNCHED THE DOG REPEATEDLY
in an effort to get him to let go!, which of course failed, & he only succeeded in getting himself bitten.

i hope they arrest the $%&#@! & confiscate the dog, but it appears the police think this is merely 'a civil matter'.
meanwhile, the 'Ard-eejit's girlfriend did nothing useful - other than scream, i imagine.

IMO she has poor taste in men, & should raise her quality-standards.
