Kennel Club Lodges complaint to Ofcam regarding BBC
A month after the BBC's television programme ' Pedigree Dogs Exposed', the Kennel Club have lodged a complaint to Ofcam in view of its unfair treatment.
The Kennel Clubs website says "The Kennel Club is lodging a complaint to Ofcom in respect of the recently broadcast programme ‘Pedigree Dogs Exposed’ (BBC1) in view of its unfair treatment and editing and failure to fairly and properly reflect the Kennel Club’s deep commitment to the health and welfare of dogs and responsible dog ownership despite being made aware in detail of those efforts in advance of broadcast. Further, in the light of this programme, the Kennel Club is reviewing its contract with the BBC.".
Since this programme, the RSPCA and the DogsTrust charities have both removed their support of the Kennel Club events including Crufts and Discover Dogs.
