Re: Be careful where you tie up your dogs!

The poor poor dogs, why are people so stupid.

This happened not long ago with a Labrador and the man had tied it to a break down truck at a garage and the mechanic hopped in the truck and drove away with the dog still tied to the truck.

No me neither. Mine would scream the place down anyway if I did. (not that I would) I would never leave them in a car either, I would be too worried.

Re: Be careful where you tie up your dogs!

I've just read this on AOL news. How tragic. I can't believe anyone would be so stupid as to tie their dogs to a vehicle.

Re: Be careful where you tie up your dogs!

It makes no sense tying a dog to a car, anyone with half a brain can see that. The only time I ever leave my dog is outside shops that have a sturdy place to fasten his lead onto, and where I can see him from the inside.

The news story in itself makes me despair. Such an unecessary tragedy.

However, in response to your comment; We have locking tethering points for the dogs on the rear of the Forester and each time we travel to my wife's mothers, a journey of over 1,000 kilometres-approximately 18 hours travel time-driving break every 2 to excercise the dogs.
We frequently use these points during the summer months particularly at service areas when we ocassionally stop off for a coffee and a bite to eat. This journey is completed 3 times every year.

Nevertheless, doesn't anyone ever check that their rear lights are in working order/fog/brake/reverse and indicators before they set off on a journey?
