It is deplorable that people have so little respect for animals these days. What on earth do parents teach their children nowadays? The boys's family should be ashamed of what he has done. Sentences for animal cruelty are way too lenient. Perhaps give the punisher the same treatment he gave the cat? He certainly wouldnt do it again.

i agree that animal cruelty is on the rise and needs to be punished but if we endorse violence against those responsible then we wink to their level. Defending your dog in the heat of the moment is one thing, but vigilante violence?

As much as i understand the sentiments, it's resisting the urge to be violent that seperates us from the Chav Scum and makes us better. How can we maintain the moral high ground is we stoop to their level?

Look at it like this. What he did was evil but as soon as his sentence is done he will still be a **** and he will be a **** for the rest of his life. That's a hell of a punishment!

I'm sorry, i don't like violence but seriously, if i knew someone had done that to my cat, i would want to break more than their hands. Enough said. It makes me sick!!!

Im not normally so militant but that picture looks so much like my Patrick who I lost earlier this year (also 12) despite months of vetrinary treatment. Poor woman must be devastated.
