Exclamation stranger than fiction: Fla. man shoots 2 Huskies in pasture; many witnesses...

Orange Co. authorities at first refuse to prosecute - despite graphic video
[filmed by an Irish tourist] and more than a dozen adults witnessing this apparently baseless assault.

NOT child-safe -
YouTube - Dog shooting in Florida Christopher Comins

the video hits the local news, as well - forcing authorities to act.
now the shooter has sued a blogger, who wrote about the shooting.
both blog posts were based on reports published in mainstream media
over 2-weeks before - he simply reacted to the stories...

Christopher Comins Husky-Shooter Update: Chris Comins May Face Charges «

On Shot #9: What the Media, Witnesses, and Police Had to Say About Christopher Comins’ Final Shot « Comins v. VanVoorhis

if U watch the video, 9 shots, the screaming owner, and onlookers reactions
are audible or visible - the dogs are seen to collapse before more shots are heard.

the Siberian's owner faces $7,500-USA in vet-bills; one dog needed 2-weeks of vet-care to stabilize before surgery,
removing his destroyed eye - then needed more surgery to repair his shattered foreleg.

the man filing the lawsuit is politically connected and wealthy - it's not his first firearm charge, either.

ABOUT « Comins v. VanVoorhis

news-accounts say he trained a laser-sight on his [then] girlfriend's son -
spotting his forehead; a new-girlfriend accompanies him to the courtroom.

I read the first article and watched the first video. I can't read anything else I'm too upset. They should have been on a lead too. Everyone on here tells me that Sibes should be on lead in open spaces to PREVENT this stuff. That guy with the gun should be shot himself!

Thats disgusting, to keep firing on the when they were down and the owner was there I know we have the same laws in England, that dogs can be shot on permission of land owners, my OH auntie has land and has had lambs killed this year by dogs so shes given hunters the right to shot dogs on her land that are off lead with no owners in sight .

And this is why I don't let Dascha offlead when we go to the countryside. I worry about her wondering off into a field and getting shot! Esp when we walk at night!
