Pet Forums 2008 Cat Show - News Update

Hi everyone,

As you have probably noticed we have now got a sponsor for the cat show competition - UKPetSupplies. Myself and UKPetSupplies will now be offering 3 prizes for the overall 3 winners of the competition. 1st Prize will be a £125 voucher to spend on their website, 2nd prize will be a £100 voucher and 3rd prize will be a £75 voucher.

Please note that the closing date for competition photo entries in 30th November. After this date all entries will be sorted out and an online poll will be created in each photo category section. members will then be allowed to vote on all of the polls. When voting has closed, the top 3 winners of each category will be awarded "virtual" rossettes which will appear near their signatures on the forum.

The winner of each category will then be entered in to the overall final where all members will then be able to vote in the overall poll. This poll will close just before christmas and the top three places will be awarded the vouchers mentioned above to spend online on the UKPetSupplies website - Welcome to UKPetSupplies.com - The One-Stop Shop for Pet Supplies & Accessories!


UKPetSupplies have also offered all of our members 5% of any orders over £30 placed on their website before 30th November, the voucher code is "PETFORUMS".

I really cant understand your problem here and why you cant just have fun with it If you suspect someone's photo is not took within the last month, then just dont vote for it!

When the voting starts, I will put up something along the lines of 'dont just vote for your mates but genuinely which cat you like best' but at the end of the day it is down to the concscience of the individual if they have done that

Hi,

Although prize money is involved, the competition is still meant to be fun. I think it is going to be as fair as it can possibly be as the decision on winners will be made by a vote on the forum for everyone to vote on, its not being voted on by a select few people. It is probably expected for people who have enetered to ask friends to vote on their photos, there is nothing that can be done about this, but everyone is at a fair advantage I would say.
