Here's another idea: when you are able to catch them look for the one with nipples, which is obviously nursing and leave her in, remove the rest?

weve had two of them since December so its definately one of the three in there, Im too bervous to get them out in case I disturb them and they eat the babies but as soon as one comes out I will get them out and have a look, the bars are really narrow so I cant imagine a wild mouse could have got into the cage. thanks for replying

I've had mice before but not for years - as others have said, FIND THE BOY! unless she got pregnant before you had her? x

Thanks, I will ask them if I have another panic session, I couldn't sleep last night for worrying about the boys, first thing I did this morning was check them, they seem really healthy (touch wood),they are a little chubby but I think thats cos the cage isn't big enough and they can't climb, getting a lovely new one in two weeks so I will just have to do loads of games with them till then.

What do you need to look out for iwth the sda virus as Bluerat was a sibling to my boys and lived in the same cage as them till last wednesday, so understandably I am panicking a bit.
