I'm having the same problem for Xander but he seems to prefer to just chew the curtains, I know how to make some treat balls out of cardboard toilet rolls so I will try and find the link for that and message you.

They can get pregnant as yong as 4 weeks but it is very unusual, Spike was about 6 weeks when she had hers (poor little baby) its an absolute miracle it didn't kill her.

Oooh I think he suspects something, when we were just walking Henrick he told a woman that we have 6 mice, 3 cats, a load of fish, 1 dog and 6 "bloody" hamsters so my daughter corrected him and said "but Xander is a foster hamster" and he smiled and said "surely you don't think I'm that stupid". I pretended not to hear.

I would leave it for now, if Rosie has had some babies you will want to keep them and they will need seperating into boys and girls so that is already 1 more cage of hammies. I would leave my details with P@H and tell them that if they don't get adopted you will have them, that way they don't get pts but they might get adopted by someone else.

No, I want him to find it himself, then I can look all surprised. Didn't help this afternoon when my daughter said "mum did you want a girl or a boy hamster when we went to get Xander"

Is she staying in the nest a lot more? Spike made a huge nest and stayed in it except for eating and drinking and then when she got up for a drink I noticed a pink wriggly thing. Now the real waiting begins, I was soooooo tempted just to have a little look and see how many there were. The cage might be dangerous if the hammie is a bar climber but you can break the fall up with hammocks, ledges etc or you could just get some mice lol.

Wow, are you getting it? That would make a lovely mouse or rat cage (shame its no good for hamsters) or you could even re-sell it for more than that.
