I can understand that...they never replace the pet you've lost but they do help fill the gap that is left in your life after losing a pet. By being able to give your love to another animal, it helps ease the grieving process.

I am so sorry to hear about the loss of your Tommy....and the fact it's so recent. I know how you must be feeling. My kitten Whisper was only 4 and a half months old when he died. I still miss him terribly although the pain has eased.

I believe he was hit by a car...he was found dead in my neighbours garden. That was about 3 months ago and he was Freedoms brother....so now i keep Freedom as an indoor cat. Im too worried the same thing will happen again.
