Thanks for the reply. My vet said it could be acid reflux because he also throws up yellow bile alot. Mine does the hack noise everyday. Does yours do a honking cough too. That is usually a result from flattened trachea. They also call that a collapse trachea. How old is your chi? Has he always done it?

Hi I noticed an old post you had of your puppy hacking after drinking. I have a new puppy that makes this noise Chihuahua Puppy Nearly Coughs up a Hairball! - YouTube It that what your dog does. Did you ever figure it out. My dog does it almost everyday. Other wise he is fine. Thanks

Now you've said that there isn't really a lot of Chihuahua photos posted is there? I'm seriously in love with the Chi Yorkie crosses, hubby would love a yorkie but I'm not super struck on them, I've seen a few Chi x yorkies lately though and they are gorgeous :001_wub: Are they a cross that's bred on purpose or is it something I would have to look for in rescue? I'd prefer a puppy if possible, I know I'd probably be hung drawn and quartered for wanting to deliberately buy a cross breed but to me if that dog has all the qualities I want then it's the right one for me/us :)

Your Chihuahua has much longer hair than Jack, I read something lately that said long haired Chis sometimes don't get their full coat until after 2 years old, Jack is 2 years and 2 months ish but I've not noticed any change in his coat since we've had him, I'm not bothered by it, I love him how he is, he just sometimes looks as if he is a mix of long and short hair! :D

Hi Nataliee, didn't want to hijack the size thread, we definitely don't see enough photos of your doggies, they are absolutely gorgeous :D
