Yes that is a good idea, I suppose it is useless to make up abstract situations without the experience. I would just hate to not be able to offer him the home he deserves. I will talk to the current owner about it I think. He knows him best.
To be honest, you don't even know if he will have a problem, I just said the chances were high, in my opinion. could you get him on a trial period, see if he settles
What about getting a sitter? He is a very calm and laid back character and he seems to get on well with people and animals. We were thinking of employing someone to be with him if we are out all day, I will only be out some mornings and I have some days in the week off so he wouldn't be with them for huge amounts of time.

He will not be left alone all day everyday, we just have other commitments which cannot be altered. Do you think there is any way of avoiding further distress for him or do you think he would be better suited elsewhere?
