Hi, We had a very similar experience with Poppy, we got her at 5 weeks as her mother had 12 pups and couldn't cope so we still had to feed her Lambs milk and wean her, one day on puppy food and she pooed EVERWHERE!* I had to throw her bed out (thankfully it was just a cheapy one to get her started, that was in her crate which was also a decent size, I had to take it outside and put the power hose on it!! YUCK!* We kept Poppy in the crate until she was about 5 months and since she has the kitchen when alone and is just fine, I get my puppy cocker bitch in3 weeks so will be interesting to see how they get on, best friends I hope but we'll see!** As far as teaining is concerned, just be consistent, We allow and always have, her to sit on the settee, some say it's a bad move as it gives her ideas above her station but I just love the cuddles!* That is the only inconsistency!* She has always been a pain when it comes to jumping up but we've successfully tough her sit, recall, leave it, where's dad, where's mum (we played hide and seek with her for that, it's really handy and great fun for us)! I'm a big child really! the only major one I haven't managed yet is 'stay'.* I'll have to put a couple of pictures on here of her body she really has beautiful markings! Look forward to more madness, it's nice having someone in the same boat!!

Good morning Hannah. Thanks for your friendly reply. Sorry to hear about your bone marrow last year. I don't know much about that procedure but I hope that you are well now. How lovely that your sprocker is such a joy to you.
I have uploaded a photo to the mixed breed dog section - will try to get it to show on my profile by my name. Betsy is a sold chocolate (or liver?) with a white fleck on her chest. She has such a lovely nature but is definitely full of those amphetamines already!
We are going for her second jab today so soon the fun of actual walkies and "socialisation" can start.
Had a bit of a disaster last night - we are trying to crate train her but not sure that we get it ourselves yet. Put her in when we went to bed - its big enough to have bed one half and paper on the other. When I got up for mid-nightime garden trip she was really distressed and had pooed and weed on the paper but then trodden it on the bed side.
Anyway cleaned up (took hours!) and then decide to leave the door of the crate open (she's in the kitchen) and this morning she had got out of the crate and gone on the paper away from her crate. So ..... not really sure.... feel like that bit of the night was a success?!
Would love to hear more of your training tips and general sprocky tales.
    xx Liz xx

Hello I am so excited to see that you have a gorgeous sprocker spaniel. Hope you dont mind me sending you a friend request. We have just got an 11wk old sproker bitch. She is our first spaniel - we had terriers before. She is lovely. Am going to start puppy classes next week.
Hope your new pup is going well.
