Mac's mum was a wee brown typical Staff. His dad was a blue merle collie. I dont think he looks like either LOL! Ben has the height of a labrador but the face and build of a staff...just a huge staffy really LOL!

Well Savannah loved nipping, well i say nipping but it hurt like mad lol She loved chasing ur ankles, and would hang off your trousers or slippers every time u moved. We were on a walk slowly for a while!! If she chased and nipped our ankles we would stop still and say firmly, ah-ah to get her attention.
If she would bite when playing we would say quite loudly OWW then stop playing and turn our back to her, so she learnt that if she bites hard the playing/attention stops, while gentle mouthing if accepted by you gets a great play time.

Also a thought, if he is good at training, you could teach him a "go find it" command which we did with savannah, which basically means "go find your toy" then everytime he bites your ankles/hand or whatever you can say that command and he will find his toy, which he can then bite instead and have a play. Your basically trying to tell him his toy is for that kind of playing.
Hope that makes sense. oh and also make sure the timing is right so as soon as he nips you immediately say no or ah-ah (or whatever word works for you) so he associates the biting with the dissapproval!
    Good luck
