Hi, thanks for the advice! Both budgies are doing great, Harley had a bath this morning, and in all her years the female has NEVER entertained the bath... but straight away she was there drinking with him, and she would have gone in it, if Harley hadn't of been so bossy and wouldn't let her lol! what birds do you have?

Hi, I hope you dont mind me contacting you but I could really do with some advise regarding a cockatiel that I found at the weekend. I have done everything I can to locate its owner and Im now considering keeping it.

The problem I have is that when I offer it my hand to jump on it pecks me at first which doesnt hurt then it climbs up my arm to my shoulder and then I cant get it off. I keep saying get down and lowering my body to the sofa but it gets down and then flies back on my shoulder and this is repeated several times until I literally have to run out of the room before it flies at me again.

Ive heard you shouldnt really allow your cockatiel to climb up your arm to have access to your shoulder all the time as this shows its dominance over you but I dont know how to stop it.

I also have this pecking issue although at present it does not hurt its doing it all the time when I put my hand out or when I go to stroke it.

Someone suggested holding its beak ??? Im not sure what that does or if I should be doing that??

Your advice would be much appreciated

    Thanks
