lol...when ive sprayed Freedoms bedding and cat tree with it, he never went mad over it. Maybe i dont have one that's strong enough because when i hear people on hear talk about catnip, they say their cats go crazy over it. It does seem to interest him though, so it's certainly worth doing as you suggested and spraying some on a throw, so i can take some pics of him.
lol...i know what you mean. I do wish i could get some decent pics of Freedom though but he never stays still for the camera and when he's asleep it's usually on the sofa which is black and so because he is grey, the pictures dont come out too well.

Do you enter your cats in shows?.......Freedom's only a moggie but he is very special to me.
