i think i would have to say not. My kids are 6 and 2 and it has been extremely hard work. If you look back through my threads i have had some guarding issues with Oscar and they are quite a snappy breed (which i didn't realise when i got him). I absolutely love him and he is a great dog but i really have to watch him with the kids. I am confident we can work through these issues but don't think i could actually recommend them as a breed with young children. I think Cavalier King Charles spaniels are generally better for little ones.

they are very loving, I have had them since I was a kid and could never be without one now, never had 3 at once before though lol mine are gentle with the kids as well, its funny how they just seem to know they need to be more careful with them.

the toilet training can be hard with them, my youngest pup will use paper in the house but wont go outside even on walks, she holds it in until she comes home and does it on the paper lol I hope she grows out of that one she is in my avatar picture the little black pup, it would be lovely to see some pics of your pup, is he a long or short haired chihuahua?
