All is well in Mouseville. Not heard any squeaking or seen any fighting so I am pretty happy with their progress at the minute!! I have given them a tissue box, with tissue in, and they love it! hehe. How is your zoo? x

I think carefresh might be safer. Wooden cat litter is normally made from soft woodso although it isn't as powdery as wood shavings if they eat it it might make them ill.

Ok, well Wilko's do their own wood based cat litter. It looks like the stuff people use for their rats. Do you think I could use that? Or I could get some carefresh? x

The mice allergies do represent as sneezing and scratching so it might be that.

You'll give your poor mouse a complex with issues like that!

I don't use woodshavings in my cages personally as all the research I'd done said that mice were allergic to softwoods and the woodshavings look suspiciously like softwood (as opposed to hardwoods like oak etc - only figured this because hardwoods are way more expensive and didn't think carpenters would waste it!!!) I know TDM and red use woodshavings without any problems. I use the paper soft bedding from P@H but some one told me you can use Biolet cat litter

Bonjour! Well, today when I got them out they were all sleeping together in the house so that was good. I have changed the bedding again. White toilet roll. Every time I get short-tail (that is her new nickname) out I keep thinking her tail is getting shorter. But I am not sure. It has healed up I think.

Do you have woodshavings in your cages? I have just read the new mouse thread saying woodshavings shouldn't be used. My mice do seem to sneeze alot so do you think I ought to change to something else?
