    We have bought a trained gun dog in the past "Sam" who is in my signature who sadly died a few years ago, Midge the springer in my signature also we trained from a pup, he has turned out to be a top dog

    That's very kind of you. I did have a quick browse on the internet last night and found that pups cost more than I expected. Could you tell me what the average price is? I can imagine it alters depending on pedigree and perhaps size?

    I did, I'm growing very fond of the long haired chi's... I'm tempted to get a chihuahua in the future but I'm still concered because of my JR. I remember, a few years ago now, someone telling me that a small toy breed could not live with a JR because of their size and energy. ??
