Been walking this week and Woody suprised us by being rather timid, he's getting better though and the advantage is we can let him off lead and he doesn't stray too far. I think its helping to calm him down too, he slept till 6.30 this morning.
Poor Rudy, they actually seem to enjoy making us worry don't they!
I don't think there's much danger of Otto becoming too well trained, he still has plenty of deaf episodes! He spent most of last night's class wriggling around on the floor with his dachshund girlfriend. Every time we take one of them onto the floor to do an exercise the other one whimpers and whines until they're back together again!
Hiya, how are you and the pooches?
Otto did well in class last night. He's passed all of his puppy positions (sit, stand, down) and is doing really well with walking to heel.
He got used as the demo dog last night as the trainer wanted a "food orientated" dog. That'll be Otto then! He was very good and learnt quickly even though it was obviously taking every bit of restraint in his body- he was learning to leave food that was placed in front of him until he was given permission to eat it!
Zeke looks lovely and handsome. I love the one of him as a pup with the little boy! I wish my two were like that, but they just wind each other up. Neither of them know when to stop. My son gets bitten or scratched and Woody gets trodden on or his tail pulled, but they both just go back for more! I can see they are going to be best buddies already. We're taking Woody for his first walk tomorrow, that should help calm them down a bit (I hope).
Hi ya. Its all starting to fall into place at last. Woody is now dry in his crate all night (although he wakes me up at 4am to be let out for a wee!). He's starting to tell us when he wants to go out and very rarely has accidents now. The first week I thought he was never going to get it but then the second week it just seemed to click. He's getting softer with his biting and doing it less, although still a way to go yet.
We took him back to see his mum now the rest of the puppies have gone to their new homes. It was great watching them play and watching Saffie telling him off.
He's had all his jabs now(last one Tues), so we're going to take him out for his first walk on Sun. The first vet I saw said 5 days till he can go out and the second one said 12! So we're going with the first lol.
Have you got any pics of Zeke?
I've emailed you the link. I think I might ask if I can stand up for the recall next week. Having an Otto hurling himself at you at floor height is a little unnerving!
