Whippet and lurcher stolen

My friend in Norfolk let a lad have her whippet dog(bred by me) for £100 on the grounds he would be returned. She also gave him a 6 year old whippet bitch. After meeting him a few times to go lamping on her permission land he asked if he could borrow one of her lurchers. She lent him a fawn bitch. She had a phone call saying that a dog had got at the bitch and she was pregnant. She was not happy and told him to return both dogs. She then had a text message saying the dogs are not going to be returned They are both micro chipped in my friends name The police are involved.

The lucher is a fawn bitch with a very distintive scar on its back leg I;m not sure but it may have saluki xgreyhound or whippet in it.

The whippet is dark brindle with a white blaze, white half collar and white socks/feet.He is the brindle in this photo taken a few monhs ago

Absolutely, what a terrible thing to happen but sounds like your friends not the most responsible pet owner either.

Re: Whippet and lurcher stolen

She is perfectly responsible the person who she let have the dogs was a 'friend'. What I didn't add was the same night as she had this phone call she also had an arson attck on her kennels. She was doing what she thought doing a mate a favour. If she wasn't responsible I would not have let her have a pup of me in the first place.

She sent me a text this morning to say no news as of then. She said she will let me know as soon as she has some news so I take it there is no better news yet. Her other dogs are ok I think Archie's mum Jessie and her sister I think were in the kennel both have suffered some smoke inhallation but will be ok I think. I live 200 miles away from her so can't just pop round to see her but I don't wont to phone her because of blocking up the phone line and stopping any news coming through.
