Penny, black toy poodle 5 years old, microchipped, slipped her lead, only having been with new owner two hours. She has been missing since Thursday. There has been sightings at the Academy, and near the loch, which is other end of town from where she ran off. Posted on dog lost

What about contacting the local schools in Forfar and highlighting it to the kids - you know they play all over the place and Forfar is such a small place surely one of them will spot her.

Schools are on holiday this week - posters are up, and radio and everything we can think of. She is a country girl - and will avoid town like the plague

Is it possible she has been stolen to order? I know you say she is country savvy but you would have thought there would have been a sighting by now. Have you checked the lost dog website?

We are hoping that someone has her, but no sightings at all since last Saturday. Penny is already on dog lost, and all the forums that we are on - just hoping that she appears home soon
