Another black cat lost in Southampton

Hi. We're missing Ratty (short for Ratatouille) a black shorthair moggie, in the PORTSWOOD area of Southampton. She is 3 yrs old, very tiny, extremely timid indeed. She's a rescue cat, we've had her 6months, and she hardly ever goes out of the house, which is why her disappearance is more startling, and concerning.

We were away from the house last night, for the first time in months, but a trusted friend visited and fed her (and our other cat, who's fine, it seems), but when re-visiting this morning she told us that Ratty had disappeared, and we came home. And then spent all afternoon searching, checking garages/sheds/under cars etc - and leafletting the neighbours.

To our knowledge, she barely steps out of the house, we've never seen her use the cat-door except to regain entry, only going through an open patio door on rare ocassions. Perhaps our absence, or the warmer weather, has led to a change? Anyway, for her to vanish like this is highly unusual - otherwise we'd wait a few days before posting on this forum.

Photo(s) to follow! Any advice on her behaviour wd be really appreciated, and we can fill in the missing pieces of jigsaw if anyone's willing to resond/help.

Thanks! Goulash (Ratty's now lonesome brother)

Re: Another black cat lost in Southampton

Thank God! (or whoever) Case closed. She has just appeared. Sorry to waste anyone's time, those who read my first post.

Although, here's the thing: firstly, she did just that - she appeared. After all the looking, seeking, the fake mioaowing sounds. For all those out there looking for pets, then I guess that's just what they do. Vanish, and appear

Second, she is different now - it's like she's now more alive, somehow. Did she meet someone? Or just get locked in somewhere? Remember this is a cat who never would go out...
