Brown Burmese Female Missing from Glasgow area

Our beautiful dark chocolate brown Burmese female cat went missing from outside our house in the Netherlee area of Glasgow on Tuesday 17 March. She is neutered and identichipped. She was wearing a dusty pink and silver collar with a 'please scan me' disk. She is very friendly and nosy, and may have followed people or sneaked into a shed, garage, house or even a car. She may, therefore, be some distance from her home.

Reward for safe return

Many thanks for your help

Hi Ailsa,

Try phoning all your vets etc and putting leaflets through doors, you may have done this already of course.

I hope you get her back, they are very very friendly cats aren't they and very nosey too. Keep us posted.

Izzie

Re: Brown Burmese Female Missing from Glasgow area

Thanks Izzie - yes, I've called all the local vets and am working my way through the phone book for the others. I've also called all the animal charities, placed on-line ads everywhere I can think of, put notices in local shops, library etc and posted about 200 leaflets through neighbours' doors enlisting the help of my daughter and friends.

She wouldn't have wandered away herself but may have followed people with a little encouragement or even possibly got into a car. Fingers crossed whoever has her decides to get her scanned.

Ailsa

Hi Ailsa,

I hope you get her back really soon. Are you a member of any Burmese clubs? They have lost cat lists which may make people sit up and be aware of a burmese that has suddenly become available for sale. Hopefully its more a case that she is hiding out somewhere and will find her way home to you really soon.

Izzie

Hi - I'm not a member of any clubs but know there are two in the UK. I'll see if they'll add my cat to their lost lists.

thanks
Ailsa
