LOST ginger and white cat, Halstead ESSEX

My cat Sullivan (or Sully) has been missing since Tuesday morning (3rd March).
He is a male ginger and white long haired cat, coming up to 2.5 years old. He has a ginger moustache, and a distinctive white patch on his back, and also has 3 black spots on his nose. He hasn't been neutered, but is microchipped, and wears a red collar (though he does have a habit of losing them). He was last seen in Chapel Hill, Halstead, Essex, on Tuesday morning. He is quite a vocal cat, and will "shout" to say hello to people. He is very much a home cat, he always comes back for his dinner, and has only been gone for one night previously. I miss him so so much, if anyone has any idea where he is, please let me know!

Re: LOST ginger and white cat, Halstead ESSEX

Hi,

I would start by putting up posters and asking neighbours as it is common for toms to be getting fed at neighbours houses and they think they are stray and begin keepig them inside as their ''own'' cats....i have lost two toms in this way....hope you find your kitty safe i know just how heartbreaking it is to lose a cat

Thanks. He really is very distinctive, so all of our neighbours know he's ours- most of them were distraught to hear he'd gone! A neighbour knocked at the door the other day, saying she'd seen him at about 1am, so it sounds like he's out mating and should come home. Still missing him like crazy though!!

I hope your find him maybe even ask he local vets and pet stroes if you can put notices and pictures of him up there! If you have a local newspaper you know the ones delivered free door to door ask them if you can put a small box in there asking people about him!

Good Luck!

Re: LOST ginger and white cat, Halstead ESSEX

really hoping you find him soon! I lost my girl night before last - but she turned up yesterday afternoon! Phew! Youve probably done all this but this is what i did...

Phoned every vet, rehoming and rescue centre for 20 miles
phoned all the cat breeders i could find in the area
phoned dog warden and council
spoke to CPL and RSPCA
reported her missing on lots of lost pet websites
Put an add on local gumtree
Put an add in local free ads website
Put notices in all the local shops, garden centres, schools and supermarkets
spoke to postman, binman, council warden (the guys who trim bushes), local builders etc
notices in all the pet shops in the town

If she hadnt been found by today i was then going to leaflet neighbours and post notices on the most prominent pathways (the ones that lead to the shops etc in the hopes of finding her), and onto the dog poop bins lol!

hth and he's found safe and well!
