Unhappy Cat lost from cattery - Billet Road, Hainault Essex

Hi

Apologies to other users who are on other websites and so may be familiar with Trigger but I am trying to get her on as many websites as I can.

Trigger, our 2 year old female tortoiseshell microchipped cat was lost from a cattery on Billet Road, Hainault/Marks Gate, Essex on the 15th July so 10 days today.

We have handed out (via door to door knocking) 1,000 leaflets and posters, notified the RSPCA, PDSA, Cats Protection League, all local vets, the microchipping company, all websites that I could find, the local councils, we have advertised her in the local papers and even on the radio today, plus Gumtree. Plus all the day and night searches and in addition the searches the cattery are doing and their posters

There is a £200 reward for her. My husband and I (I am 6.5 months pregnant) are absolutely distraught about this. We left them there to be safe whilst on holiday and now this. We are sick with stress about it.

If anyone at all lives around that area, please please can you keep your eye out for her, she is very timid. We have our own website set up which is on the flyers, but just in case people throw the flyers away, they may remember the website address which is:

Find Trigger - Home

Thank you to anyone for any assistance and good luck to all those others who have missing pets. I don't know how people cope.

Anna

Anna
My heart goes out to you both-
to lose a cat is bad enough but for it to go missing from a cattery makes it so much worse
You have done all the right things to put Trigger in the public eye
I hope and pray that she is found-the stress of this must be terrible for you and being pregnant its something you really dont need

There are many happy endings on here of cats and dogs being found after going missing,so I hope yours is another one
I will cross post your appeal on another forum site-DOGSEY ,as the more people who are aware of her being missing the better

You will receive lots of support on here-as we are all members for the same reason
Thinking of you
Maureen

Update

Hi

Thank you to the messages so far. Not thought about weeing on something to scent the area, trouble is there is no way of us knowing which way she went the second she got out of the open cattery door. And she was missing for 12 hours before noticed. But considering how much the baby is pushing on my bladder I could actually wee in a million places.

Had a close call this morning, the cattery was called to a house in Romford where a homeowner had managed to capture a cat they were convinced was Trigger. The cattery said it was a spitting image but unfortunately after checking, the microchip number didn't match but it just shows that our campaign is working which has made Neil and I feel alot more positive. 11 days today and counting.

Thanks again for the messages, its amazing how many nice and lovely people there are out there.

Anna

How upsetting for you. Keep positive though, you know the word is getting out about Trigger and I sincerely hope you will be reunited very soon. There have been many happy outcomes recorded here for cats being found. I want yours to be among them!

update

Hi all

So far no sign of Trigger :-(

I am on Facebook but I'm completely useless at Facebook, but my brother in law has set up a group for Trigger. Not sure if you can search for that?

We are doing an early morning search tomorrow morning to see if a time difference makes a difference and then I've got another 600 flyers to do door to door knocking all day saturday. Fingers crossed we get some good luck soon.

Thanks again for all the messags.

Anna
