Is my iguana too big for his house.

my green iguana is 3 foot long and he lives in a 4 foot vivarium is he too big now for the vivarium we are thinking of having a custom built one made for him that will be 4 foot long but will go from the floor to the ceiling which is roughly about 9 foot would this size vivarium be ok for him if so will we be able to put another iguana in with him.

It's definitely too small, I have to say this, but it should appear quite obvious. An iggy of this size should really be in an 8 x 8 x 4ft (l x h x w) vivarium as a minimum, the bigger the better.

Keeping two Green Iguanas together is risky, two males will ultimately fight, and even same-sex pairs can demonstrate aggressive behaviour. I would focus on sorting out the housing issue before even considering buying another. Personally, I wouldn't do it.
