Young green iguana - food phobia ??

Hello,

Ive raised lizards since i was 9 years old, Ive had 2 previous green iguanas, one a rescue that died of old age, and the other i had from a juvanile but unfortunatly died of cancer at 10 years of age

I now have a variety of reptiles, 2 berber skinks, 2 beardies and a young green iguana which im concerned about. she seems to be afraid of food ??

If it wiggles, crawls, hops she avoids and becomes very panicked around it ! If i put fruit or premix juvenile food in she will not go near the side of the tank where the food is !!

She is losing weight and i really dont want to syringe feed her if there is a way to get her to eat and enjoy food on her own !

thanks

That might be because Iguanas are HERBIVORES?? Fruit & Veg doesn't tend to hop, wiggle or crawl much!!

Try some of the stuff on here (click me)
