I have to say that I've also read up that locusts have a higher gut-loading content and must admit that my geckos find them much easier to catch and eat as they do not scurry, they also taste better. 2 of my geckos will down right refuse crickets. In my opinion reptiles should have a varied diet anyway as each insect will differ in its nutritional content.
