Bosc monitor...

I have a 7month old bosc monitor and he has a front leg missing(he came to us like this it has nothing to do with me just to make this clear) anyway the missing leg does affect the way he moves. He moves very slowly and we can't put too much in his viv as he is very clumsy. He eats well a pinkie every other day or so but he does like crickets only problem is he can't catch they with his poor mobility. And advice or tips would be great. Other that this he is in perfect health a lovely little chap, having trouble to tame him but this may be due to age and what happened to him in his previous home. Eats well and is active, i just feel really sorry for him when i see him stumble etc.

Re: Bosc monitor...

have you tried putting them in the fridge? it slows them down alot and then you can put a few in for him to catch

i no the firdge thing works with the hoppers we feed our beardies makes it so much easier to dust them with their supplements aswell

Re: Bosc monitor...

Hey! I own 3 bosc monitors and believe me you won't tame him untill hes at least a foot long! they are very defensive as babies but its all talk, just get in waste no time and pick him up and he'l soon tame down. I guess with the feeding you could tong feed him crickets etc? or try morios etc.

goodluck!

- The fridge idea sounds good also give that a try
