most lizards are insectivores, apart from iguana`s and skinks which will grow considerably larger than what you are looking for [skinks need animal matter as part of their diet too, so probably not suitable for you] you could look into crested gecko`s as their diets do consist mainly of fruit, but contrary to beliefs and what has been written they do need live food to to balance things out a little this should always be offered even if they don`t take it.
another to consider is the chuckwalla, a close relative of the iguana that survives on fruit and veg, again though they grow to a considerable size.
a lovely little lizard is the green anole they are small interesting lizards growing to a maximum of around 9" if you are lucky, they do need a diet that consists of insects to survive though and often the downside is they don`t tame up easily and get very stressed, lovely interesting little lizards though!

You can get some nice Skinks (pink tongued or fire) which arent too big. Added bonus is that coz they eat mainly snails and snails can produce hundreds of babies you can easily grow your own food!!

(I know Lost World in Teynham had some lovely Fire Skinks in the other day!)

all skinks need at least 40% of animal matter which would mean feeding insects other than snails. only lizards i personally know of that don`t need anything other than fruit and veggies are chuckwallas which grow to around the same size as a pink tongue skink, or the iguana which you need massive enclosure for. almost all lizards apart from the chuckwalla and iguana are insecitivores and even then iguana`s and the chuckwalla will accept small mice and crickets as a source of protein in captivity
