Some help about a bearded dragon?

my boyfriends got a bearded dragon named Barry hes not sure of the sex yet and hes always been lively, he gets fed well, and has a bath. but lately he can be quite awake during the day but then some days it seems like hes sleeping and not very awake at all.

we havent seen him drink, so thats what my boyfriend think it may be, hes not drinking?!
how would you get him to drink? hes sprayed him with some water and gave him a little bath.
hes just gone down to the pet shop from where he got it from to see wherever they can help.
just wondering if you guys have any advice?
Thanks!

Re: Some help about a bearded dragon?

How old is he/she, as they get older they tend to slow down a bit, he is eating ok- interested in food? usually if they are off colour they tend to loose interest in food.

mine was lively as a youngster but as he got older he stopped and is now quite lazy and sometimes will sleep more during the day than others, hes also very lazy tho and if possible waits for the live food to get right in front of him so he doesnt have to move to catch them (i now put it further away but he will wait til it gets closer)

Re: Some help about a bearded dragon?

Theres mixed thoughts about water as it can create too much humidity. My beardies will drink if they need to, but usually a long soak once a week is enough.

The older/bigger they get the more energy it takes to move around and they become incredibly lazy and hardly move at all. They are also very clumsy!

Re: Some help about a bearded dragon?

Some species of reptiles (such as beadies) won't drink out of a water dish but will instead gain the majority of their fluids from the food they eat (greens - very high in moisture) and may even lick drops of moisture from interior decorations after misting (note misting too often can create an unsuitable humidity).

Re: Some help about a bearded dragon?

Beardies don't drink from water dishes you need to mist him twice a week he could be tired because he's not getting enough nutrition from his food what do you feed him
