blubell will become famous soon enoughblubell will become famous soon enough
will they be okay?

My friend bought 2 bearded dragons, not sure on the sex or the age though (they are quite big, about the size of my keyboard(from caps to page down).
I went with her to see them, The tank the guy she got them off was around 2ft, and had no heat lamp, it had a light bulb instead.
I was put off from buying them and made it quite clear but my friend felt really sorry for them and bought them anyway.
She has them in a 5ft viv with a heat lamp and uv lighting and everything.
She took them to the vets and he wasn't exactly knowledgable on lizards so couldnt really give her much advice.
Will they be okay?
They eat really well, i dont think he was feeding them properly and they always jump straight on there food. And love being out of thhre tank.

Jingle Bells is on a distinguished road
Re: will they be okay?

Hi,

Firstly, I think it would be a good idea for the Beardies to be kept in different Vivs, what substrate are they on?

Your friend should get a faecel test done on both Beardies just to rule out anything nasty....PALS (Google it) do a screening service for poops and get a full screening done....this will test for Cryptospiridiosis (Spelling sorry) they do it a lot cheaper than the Vets do. If the samples show up anything you can then download the results and pop along to your Vets and they should prescribe whatever is needed.

Best of luck to your friend

Jingle Bells.
